VANCOUVER ART GALLERY RALLY

On Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at 2:00, teachers from the Lower Mainland will rally outside of the Vancouver Art Gallery in support of the teachers' right to strike and push for a negotiated, not imposed, settlement.

CUPE BBQ RALLY IN SUPPORT OF DELTA TEACHERS

On Wednesday, March 7th 11:00 am - 2 pm, CUPE 1091 and CUPE 454 held a BBQ and rally in support of Delta Teachers at Dugald Morrison Park.

BCTF VICTORIA RALLY

Over 10,000 teachers and other union members covered the grounds in front of the Legislature in protest against the government’s Bill 22. Teachers representing locals from the Vancouver Island as well as the Lower Mainland marched from Centennial Square to the parliament buildings to hear Jim Sinclair, president of the BC Federation of Labour, Susan Lambert, president of the BCTF, Barry O’Neill, president of CUPE BC, and leaders of other public sector unions denounce the actions of the provincial government in preparing to pass legislation that is threatening not just teachers but all working people in British Columbia.
