Pro-D Information and Application Forms

The Professional Development Fund

Revised as of July 1, 2016

As per our collective agreement, the district provides the PD Committee with funds to administer for professional development of teachers. The amount is calculated based on the number of FTE teachers employed in the district, plus TTOCs, multiplied by half the TTOC daily rate. Currently, this works out to approximately 157,000 dollars. The PD fund has allocations for individual “regular” PD i.e. conferences and workshops, interest-based groups, and self-directed PD. The fund is limited, and there is a possibility that funds could run out for a given year. Surplus funds are carried over into the next year.
